Course Instructor

Marjorie Eib Marjorie Eib Back In the 70’s I was wanting to babysit, so my father insisted I learn CPR and first aid. He wanted me to know what to do in case of an emergency. A few weeks after the class I had an opportunity to preform CPR on a real person. This event started my life on a path of healthcare and for the last 45 years this has been the only thing I have ever wanted to do for a living. I started working as a nursing assistant, at a nursing home before the industry was regulated. And after I Graduated High School, I went into the Air Force, where I was trained as a nurse partitioner. After I got out of the service, I had to restart my medical training over. I was able to get financing for a one-year program and restarted my career as an LPN. My first job was in open Heart Surgery. This is where I learned the art of reading telemetry. And learned how knowing what was going on in the heart affected the rest of the body, but also helped understand the best course of care needed for the patient’s best outcome. Currently I use the skills I learned to help others in their continuing education in Advances Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Now we have this opportunity to continue to learn from each other.
